Queen Marking Pen [389R / 389G / 389B / 389W / 389Y]

Mark queens to make them easier to find and to determine age. These marking pens are water-based, opaque acrylic suitable for marking queen bees.   

The color is determined by the last digit of the year she was introduced. Example: Queens mated/introduced in 2026 are marked WHITE. 2025 queens are BLUE.

RED:  3, 8

GREEN:  4, 9

BLUE:  0, 5

WHITE:  1, 6  

YELLOW:  2, 7  

TIP:  To gain experience and confidence using a marking pen, perhaps practice by marking drones.
